Statement

As a narrative artist, whose work is occasionally autobiographical, my focus has been in painting and printmaking, but branches out into ceramics and sculpture. I have developed a cartoon drawing style that suggests a humorous aspect as well as a way to entice the viewer to the work. This helps conceal the, often serious, tones of the content from the viewer’s initial response. Every person has been in each position at some point in their life, and the “Bully” series explores all variables of this relationship.
